DECATHLON trusts the Doinsport software for its organization



Doinsport will structure the organization and optimize the group's revenue through its Kipstadium site 

This is news that has not gone unnoticed in the world of Sportech!  Indeed, the giant Decathlon has just committed to 5 years with Doinsport. The company, specialized in management software, will digitalize their immense experimental sports complex known as Kipstadium.

This orchestration happened under the impetus and growing demand from the operational team. Their wish was to have a central tool to manage the entirety of the activity. In this sense,  Guillaume Gadeyne, director of operations, found happiness in connecting with the teams at Doinsport.


Kipstadium in numbers :

  • 15 indoor and outdoor fields for team sports practice

  • 5 different flooring types: soft synthetic grass (football, rugby), parquet (basketball, handball, and volleyball), sports PVC (handball, bubble, kinball, floorball, …), asphalt (basketball), smooth synthetic grass (field hockey)

  • 33 team sports: football (11×11, 7×7, 5×5, futsal), basketball, rugby, handball, volleyball, kinball, field hockey, floorball, tchoukball, baseball, dodgeball, beach volleyball, …

  • 1 warm-up and stretching room

  • 1 footgolf course

  • 7 meeting rooms for 8 to 1500 people

  • 1 relaxation and dining area with the restaurant Fée Maison

  • And more than 150 collaborators from team sports brands, covering 20 different trades, who imagine and design DECATHLON products with site users.

The general management of the Marseille start-up made the trip for the occasion. The arguments were plentiful to highlight the diversity of their services. They were able to demonstrate the added value that Decathlon could benefit from the use of their management tool suite.

Decathlon was looking for software that would allow them to have general oversight on more than 30 different activities. Indeed, between organizing their activities, various offers, subscriptions, collections, academies, and the management of related events, it was impossible to have a clear follow-up and optimize each aspect easily.

Moreover, they wanted to have their own application for optimal brand image and customer experience.  An application created from scratch by Doinsport will therefore be launched soon. This project is in line with Decathlon's “experiential” development logic.

KIPSTADIUM, a true laboratory of the Decathlon group


This experimentation center of Decathlon tests hundreds of products each year. Indeed, products once validated by the design team are directly tested on different sports surfaces.

Kipstadium thus enables Decathlon to develop its product ranges while receiving customer feedback. A real added value that allows the sports retail giant to launch its innovations at a lightning speed.

The ability to offer Decathlon products directly on the club's virtual store or generate additional sales beyond the sports aspect will enable “Decath“ to further optimize access to its catalog.

 

A HEAVY MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATIVE TASK

With more than 30 events per year, 33 different sports, and a product range that continues to grow, Decathlon needed to structure its organization. With people at the heart of development, automation of tasks is not neglected. The digitalization of their services was becoming increasingly urgent.

Guillaume Gadeyne, director of operations, shares his enthusiasm :

“The real problem today is being able to optimize administration while keeping an eye on consumption trends. Sometimes, we find ourselves spending 2 days processing Excel files to obtain key figures on our activity. Doinsport allows us to analyze our daily activity from an accounting and administrative perspective. Moreover, they offer concise graphical representations in line with the financial expectations of the Decathlon group.”

 

DOINSPORT, leader in sports & leisure management software

Doinsport provides a suite of tools centralizing all aspects of managing a multi-activity center.  Not only the sports aspect.

The following elements will be developed :

  • Management software integrating a powerful CRM allowing tracking of the overall consumption of all clients

  • A custom KIPSTADIUM application thus personalizing the customer experience. This APP will allow clients to participate in all activities and events organized. They will be able to easily find game partners, purchase their favorite sports accessories, and receive all communications from the group.

  • A marketing tool suite giving the possibility to send email campaigns, thousands of SMS, and above all Push notifications directly on the APP

  • An online store to offer the entire Decathlon catalog on the APP

  • A standardized cash register software to centralize all payments made by clients (online, SEPA transfer, deposit, credit card imprint, etc.)

  • An ultra-flexible scheduling system integrated into the Kipstadium website to provide public access to available time slots for booking and those already occupied by the group's various activities

  • An event management module to facilitate communication with the Decathlon community likely to organize, develop, or participate in events of any kind (sports tournament, charity, association, seminars, birthdays, etc.)

The Doinsport software is used by more than 500 clubs worldwide. Among them, notable references include the Ligue 1 club SCO d’Angers, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga's All In Academy, and the football academy of World Champion Djibril Sidibé.
